You've heard it all before, don't rely solely on trends as they can send you to the poor house pretty quickly. When you think about College Football it the noises become even louder with the experts pointing to the fact that teams at this level have constant personnel turnover yielding those same trends useless. Although one could argue either way the fact of the matter is that if you look solely at one aspect of College Football handicapping whether it be strickly trends, situational, or any other method you are heading down the wrong path. I publish these trends each week not as a cure all to losing but as one factor in pinpointing this weeks winners! By the way, last weeks recommendations produced a tidey 3-1 mark! So, without further blabbering, below are this weeks trends and recommendations:

SMU at Texas Tech

SMU is 1-9 ATS their L10 versus a Big 12 opponent and 1-4 as dogs of greater than 24 points. Texas Tech is 3-1 ATS the L4 in this series, 3-0 at home and 5-2 as double digit favorites versus non conference opponents with revenge. Recommendation: Texas Tech

UNLV at Arizona State

UNLV is 0-7 ATS in second of back to back road games, 1-8 after Utah, and 1-6 in game three of the season. Arizona State is 5-1 ATS in the 3rd of 3 straight home games and 5-2 as non conference favorites of greater than 17 points. Recommendation: Arizona State

UL-Lafayette at Illinois

UL-Lafayette is 1-7 ATS off a straight up loss of great than 21 points and 3-7 as dogs of less than 17 points. Illinois is 5-2 in game three and 5-2 before Penn State. Recommendation: Illinois
