Does Rest this Late in the Season Make a Profitable College Football Pick

There is certainly enough articles and opinions on the affects that a week of rest has on a team. Most of these are written on professional football as it appears that most believe that the "youngsters" in College Football don't really respond either positively or negatively to a week of rest. Although you could certainly make an arguement that once in the pro ranks the wear and tear eventually takes it's toll, my believe that rest at any level of sports has it's advantage. However, before I went off half cocked looking for teams this with rest and plopped down my hard earned money, I decided to dig into the archives to see if my thoughts were in line with making money with College Football picks. Here is what I found:

Conference teams playing with revenge and a week of rest from Week Ten on out are 192-141-4 ATS overall since 1980. That's a 58% clip and certainly one angle worth betting on.

If these rested teams show up as an underdog they vault to 147-92-3 ATS. If they happen to be playing an opponent off a win they grab the bacon with a 100-62 ATS mark. This Saturday shows Idaho in this position.

If this same underdog is looking for revenge and is off a win they are 70-32-2 ATS, including 42-17-1 ATS when playing a team who played the week prior and 22-4 ATS if at home and off a win.

Looking into the future with teams that fall into this profit making angle we have the following: 11/15 – Idaho, 11/22 – North Texas, 11/28 – SMU and TCU, 11/29 – Baylor, Kansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma State and Oregon, 12/3 – Middle Tennessee State, 12/6 – Army.

Michael has owned Saturday's losing only twice all season long! This Week Michael has a huge card lined up that includes his Big-10 Bash, SEC Smoker, and NCAAF Game of the Week! Join Michael for these and all of his GUARANTEED selections!"
